Can I still use my analog cell phone?
I have a way ancient NEC analog cell buzz from 1989. I have a much newer buzz but the ancient one is so retro and I thought that it would be kinda cool to get it effective again, but I heard that most carriers shut down their analog networks. Is there any digital to analog converter I can buy or any companies that still use analog?

im not sure, but contact, nextel, because they have “”retro”" phones.
there are no more analog networks all servers work with gsm now
Sorry,Dante. Nobody will activate an analog only buzz. They are under strict mandates about E911 capabilities, and the analong only phones don’t meet the accuracy requirements. Plus, they want the spectrum for more modern technologies such as GSM and CDMA. These offer more capacity (room for customers), and capacity is money.
AT&T has completely shut down their analog sites, and I suspect Verizon and Alltell will not have any on air for much longer. The only place they are liable to hang around is in some rural areas.
And Christine? Verizon, Sprint, Alltel, MetroPCS, Cricket, and a total bunch of less vital companies don’t use GSM at all, and probably never will.
