Can you use a BLUETOOTH headset with a Panasonic cordless phone?

Or do you have to use a BLUETOOTH headset with a particular cordless or cell buzz brand? Why are they so much more expensive then a tradional headset. I have a panasonic cordless buzz & panasonic headset. I want to hear clearer than I do.
