How do i get my blackberry storm to ring?

I cant get my blackberry storm to ring. Will only vibrate one time then no sound at all. The sound settings are set on loud and i have tones set for calls. Still no noise.

Can I use a different Blackberry to the one work gave me?

I have a work issued Blackberry that syncs with my corporate email.

Its an ancient looking model and was wondering if there was anything stopping me buying a new one (through the same movable Operator) and sticking my work SIM into it?

Will it synch my email to the new buzz?
If this is a possibility, what settings would I need to know?

I have a Blackberry Bold 9000. It holds a excellent bunch of text messages, but how do I regulate it to keep messages from different people, even as deleting ancient messages from people, rather than just deleting text messages based on time received. I’m having a problem with a few people texting me a lot and I’m losing messages from people who do not text as much, but are still vital messages. Those who do not text as much are being deleted based on age.
