Does Gps on the Cell phone/iPhone work as well as typical car GPS systems (i.e; Garmin and Tom Tom)?
Just curious how well the GPS systems work on Cell phones, and on the new iPhone as i was very close in getting the iPhone because of the GPS, but finished up buying a Garmin Nuvi instead.
But may get the iPhone down the road, and sell the Garmin – which works awesome and i like it. But if i can get the same via iPhone (plus the other bells and whistles) or Cell buzz then i might do that instead.

GPS on like the Blackberrys are pretty excellent.
But they’re not as excellent as the Garmin Nuvi.
iPhone 3G currently has no automated turn-by-turn directions, no voice commands (no voice directions), and only one view (overhead).
TomTom is effective on an application….with a bit of luck it’s excellent.
Even if the iPhone 3G does have something that’s really useful: live traffic conditions! It highlights the roads on the map with a color: green = normal, yellow = slower than normal, red = traffic jam.
