How can I use an old Sprint Sanyo phone with my Verizon number?
I lost my buzz, and my friend gave me her ancient one: a Sprint Sanyo. I want to use that buzz with my Verizon account & number. The verizon website said I had to call an 800 number to activate the buzz, but that did not work. Is this going to be impossible to do? If not, how do I do it?

No, it would have to be unlocked to work, since it has been with Sprint. if you can get the unlock code, then you could use it if you would activate it over the buzz or at the Verizon store, but otherwise, I would get a groundbreaking new Verizon buzz or buy a used Verizon buzz from somebody else or off eBay.
It would have to be unlocked. For verizon phones u dial *338 and follow the steps to activate the buzz
i work for sprint…. sprint customers cannot use verizon phones, and vice versa. verizon phones work on a standardized verizon OS full of filters and blocks, even as sprint has the manufacturers make their own operating systems. even if the buzz were to be unlocked, the computers wouldnt recognize the buzz or the plans available to the buzz, and the buzz would not function correctly without the standardized verizon OS
