how do you convert and ethernet port on a laptop to accept a regular phone cable?
i bought a an acer laptop for my boat and it is only equipped for ethernet connection no regular buzz port how can i canvert the ethernet port so that i may use my dial up services?

You need to add a modem. The Ethernet port can’t be converted to be one.
even if you convert the cable to fit, the network card is simply not a modem so will never work, if you have any USB ports maybe a 3g wireless modem could be the answer
