How to connect my blackberry 8800 to the internet through the laptop?
A friend gave me his blackberry. I am unable to access internet in it, as I can’t activate ‘enterprise activation’, I don’t have a password for it. I thought I could connect to the internet through my laptop, I also have a wireless modem. Gan you solve my problem. Thanks.

This process of hooking your BB up to the computer to access the internet through the buzz is called tethering. The buzz works like a modem – this does not occur vice versa to my understanding.
Go to this site and you can download the manual:
na.blackberry.com/support/devices/
You have to check to see if this buzz has the wi fi capability.
I did not see wi fi in the specs. But, I only briefly perused it.
You need to check the manual to see if this feature is present.
I have the 8330 and it (wi fi) is not available on my buzz.
In checking the blackberry site again…I was comparing the Bold and 8900 to see if I wanted to upgrade…looked at the 8800 and it does not have wi fi capability just like the 8300.
The Bold and 8900 Curve do have wi fi where they can hook up to your home wi fi system and use that internet connection as opposed to using your data plot.
