Is blackberry messenger free if you already have a data plan?
I have a Blackberry with Verizon. When I use certain instant messengers such as AOL it counts as SMS texts, but I have been reading here that if you use Blackberry Messenger no matter what service you have that they won’t count as a SMS text. Is this right?

i reflect so, it depends on the local plot that you use… i reflect that it should be free. or included in the bills.
Yes. Blackberry to Blackberry is 100% free.
Yes, it’s right. BB Messenger uses data. So technically you’re paying for the data, so it’s not completely free. You’re able to use it with the data plot, so you should be fine. :]
Yes – all BlackBerry to BlackBerry messaging is included in your BlackBerry data plot. You can not run the BlackBerry messenger app without a BB data plot so this essentially means you will have no extra charges on your account for BBM use.
