Is it normal for the rechargable battery in a Panasonic cordless phone to go weak and then dead after 3 years?

probably,i ve had the same proplem
3 years is a excellent life for a buzz battery, especially if it’s a NiCad battery. Most phones get overcharged, which shortens the battery life. Mine only goes on the charger for 6-8 hours every 2-3 days, depending on the use it got.
