New Philips cordless phone…?I need a new cordless…please hlep ?
I recently bought a new cordless buzz because the Uniden phones I had before always had static and you couldn’t hear anything on them. Now the Philips phones that I bought (which were like $80 for 2) don’t even work. I can hear the other party but they can’t even hear me at all–all they hear is static. What is the best brand of cordless buzz to buy that really works.

1) Check your buzz line for static with a wired buzz. If there’s static on the line you can’t eliminate it by using a cordless buzz.
2) Test by standing right next to the base station. If you still get static it’s either on the buzz line, the buzz system (base or handset) is terrible or you have really terrible interference.
3) How far from the base station are you using the handset? (The range might be less than you’re trying to get.) Anything that can be causing interference near the base? Microwave oven? Computer wireless router? Other electronic equipment?
Tracing static can be a lot of work, but you have to find out what’s causing the static before you can know how to eliminate it. If it’s not caused by the buzz system, varying the buzz system won’t fix it.
I’ve used Panasonic, Uniden, Telephone system Shack – with no problem. And I’ve had problems with Panasonic, Uniden and Telephone system Shack. The environment made the difference.
