would my sony ericsson phone work in a different country?

i live in england and i have a sony ericsson cell buzz. do u reflect that if i take it to brazil when i go in trip my buzz will work there? i dont mean work to make calls.. i mean work to listen to my music and take pictures and stuff.

I purchased a new unlocked nec phone, but it would not work with my service. The company I purchased the?

buzz from told me to call nec to get the right gsm bandwiths. Well, I havenever been able to speak with a “live” person. The buzz was a christmas present for my daughter, and she is soooo disappointed. Please can someone clarify to me what to do to get this buzz effective? Thank you for your answers. Oh, I have Cingular buzz service.

Would the LG phone that I buy here in the UK work with a Canadian company in Canada?

I am currently living in the UK, but am tender back to Canada in September 2010. I am currently thinking of buying the LG Cookie. I currently have a Samsung buzz that I got unlocked when I switched from Orange to Virgin movable. I am thinking that the same would be possible for my LG Cookie, if I’d get it unlocked back in Canada. The next part of my question is if that buzz would work with Fido or Rogers back in Canada.
