The battery life is as the iphone in that it dies pretty instant but unlike the iphone u have the option of varying the battery when ever you want to so upgrading is a possible option and in addition the company itself is effective on it. By the way as of July 26 Best buy has it on sale for $99.99 and in my case they really offered a second one for half fee so go get yours. Excellent luck =)
none so far in my opinion. the battery life is somewhat decent..i had the instinct before and i’d say they were about the same. no doubt th palm pre is much surpass.
The only issue really is the battery life. You can control that by keeping it down to 5 applications at a time running. Honestly, how many do you need at one time you know? Plus, with the touch stone you can charge it and use it so much simpler.
Only other issue I have seen in the service center is that the earthlink pre-programmed outgoing server is incorrect. Simple fix and if you don’t have earthlink, no problem.
As with any touch screen phones, there is the risk of the screen freezing more than usual but you can do a reset by toggling the volume button back and forth 3 times and holding the power button.
It’s a really awesome buzz. I have not had anyone dislike it yet!
I have owned the buzz since it came out and the only defect or “con” that i have noticed is the battery life. Now, if you get into the routine of charging it every night, which shouldn’t be a problem, the battery life will not run out. I absolutely like the buzz – surpass than the iphone! I have an ipod touch and after using the palm pre i’ve noticed that the ipod touch/iphone is lacking in areas i didn’t notice before. I didn’t reflect the “multiple applications” feature on the palm pre was a huge deal, but after using the buzz for a month, i’ve realized that it extremely useful and is a foremost asset. Excellent luck – I highly recommend the Palm Pre.
I have been a proud owner of my Palm Pre since two weeks before it came out on the promote for Sprint. I say you should buy it. It is a very enjoyable buzz. The touch screen is small; less vital than what you would find on the iPhone, Storm, or G1. But the screen is much larger than what you would find on the Palm Treo Pro. The screen is very bright, rich in colors and for the most part, very simple to use. But for a link of weeks the screen lags a lot, locks, freezes, whatever you want to call it. Switching between cards is sometimes laggy as well. Basically, the screen is very anoying (at first). But eventually it settles and becomes stress free. When you slide the Pre open, you will see the qwerty keypad. The keypad is very tiny and will have to take some time getting used to. Also on either side of the keypad, there is a sharp edge when the buzz is slid open. That’s pretty annoying as well. But like everything else about the buzz, you will eventually get used to it. as for the battery life, it is very decent. It is surpass than the Palm Treo Pro’s battery life. It should last about a day on a single charge even with hours of texting and web browsing. The camera… Is sometimes laggy at first. After taking tens of incredible pics, it becomes a very snappy camera. The Pre may not be as app crazy as the iPhone or have super- fun gaming experience, but for every thing else that the iPhone has, the Pre makes it even surpass. A lot of people also complain that the Pre feels hollow and plasticy. It does but I ignored that feeling. I had to anyway, I was stuck with my buzz. Even even if the Pre is advertised 4G, its probably not doing so where you are. Sprint fails to advrtise that the Palm Pre can only run on 4G in certain cities. Other than that, the Pre is the fastest 3G cell buzz that there is. I still recemend the Pre no matter what. The pros outweigh its cons and over time some of those cons diappear. Excellent luck with your new Palm Pre!
