Why won’t my Sony Ericsson phone transer files to my computer?
I just got a Sony Ericsson w350i buzz two days ago that came with a USB and when i plugged it in to conveying some pics I have, my computer keeps on saying there is not anything plugged into that USB port even even if it shows up. My buzz is on, set to file conveying and i have downloaded the Sony Ericsson Media Manager 1.2 and PC Suite.
running on Windows Vista 32-bit.
Please help.

1. If you try to access the internal phone memory, rather than the memory stick, you can only do it with the PC Suite (the memory is in protected mode). That may mean the phone will show on the folder list, but the memory stick doesn’t.
2. Does the PC Suite appear when you plug in the phone? If not, uninstall it, reboot, reinstall it (without the phone connected) and see if it works then when you plug in the phone.
3. Can you drag and drop anything into the phone’s OTHER folder? It sounds like a problem with the USB port, rather than the phone.
4. If that works, try checking if USB is enabled in the settings on the phone. Go to MENU > SETTINGS > CONNECTIVITY > USB > SELECT
and make sure that it is enabled.
5. Now, start the PC Suite and see if it says “Buzz connected in File conveying mode”. If so, go to the Outdoor Applications and see if you can start Media Manager.
If you can’t, I’m worried that I have run out of thoughts.
