Will Sprint be offering any real discounts for long time customers not on contract for the new Palm Pre phone?
It seems that there are large discounts for all but the Palm Pre buzz.

Of course not since it is a BRAND NEW RELEASE!
Okay so you’re a long time customer but not on contract?? First of all that doesn’t make sense. You can get the new palm pre if you’re up for an eligible upgrade (you have $150 towards full fee of a buzz) and the fee of the Pre is going to be $199 after a mail in rebate – other than that you’re gonna have to wait a few months to a year for a higher discount.
What Katie forgot to mention is that you have to sign a 2 year ball and string with Sprint to get the $150. I say stay off the contract. Although Sprint may try to pull some bull where you have to sign a contract to get the Pre plot… It’s all about locking you in….
Here’s a comparison of the buzz and it’s competitors
